Over the last dacade, changes in technology and the environment have brought changes to the construction of buildings around the world, and Yongnam has been instrumental in many of the multimillion dollar projects in Singapore and the region.

The Group has been involved in a number of prestigious projects in Singapore. These include a significant role in the construction of Suntec City and The Bank of China; specialist civil engineering works for the Benjamin Sheares Bridge across the East Coast Parkway; cofferdams for the basement construction of the OUB Centre; Singapore PGT Centre and the Orchard Road Entertainment Centre. Other construction projects in which the Group has been involved include Ocean Towers and the Mobil refinery.

In addition, the company provides strutting and temporary structures for the construction of the central Expressway. Yongnam continued to win large projects such as the installation and construction of structures and technical equipment for the Pulau Seraya Power Station in Singapore.

Outside the city state, it's record is equally impressive with projects such as design, fabrication and construction of two aircraft hangars in Brunei, and the design fabrication and construction of steelwork structure of the 'Satellite Building' for Kuala Lumpur's new international airport.

The Group supplied, and continues to supply fabricated steel structures to many countries in the Asia Pacific region.

The Group started as a mechanical engineering company with a staff strength of five. Yongnam has evolved into an impressive design, engineering and construction organisation with a workforce of over 600 people. Assets total $76 million, with an annual turnover in excess of $100 million.

The Group has invested in the latest technology with state of the art computer controlled cutting, drilling and sawing machines in its new enclosed factories in Singapore and Malaysia. To compliment this development 3-dimensional automatic draughting systems have been installed in the drawing office. Its extensive range of site equipment includes 250 tonne crawler cranes, large capacity generators and welding machines.

A high level of quality is ensured for all the Group's work with in-house quality control facilities on the shop floor and site. Quality control systems will follow either British, American, or German Standards as required by the clients.
